Jared S. · 6:10 AM same thing happened to us wednesday. correspondent says anything signed on the old cert gets rejected now because they can’t tell us apart from somebody pretending to be us. new cert has to come from the Fed and the Fed quoted me 4 to 6 weeks

Dave O - Pueblo · 6:31 AM My CEO wants to go the other way on ours. We got a file overnight for 280 of our members from a bank in Kansas we’ve never once had a problem with. We can’t authenticate it. He wants to post it anyway, provisional, and sort it out with them Monday.
Kim Haugen · 6:38 AM Dave, I know you know this, but I’m going to say it for the group. If the file is real, you’re out the float for a few days and that’s fine. If it isn’t real, you just paid 280 people with money that doesn’t exist, and you’re not getting it back from them. I don’t think anybody can tell you right now which one it is. Your examiner is going to ask you in March either way.

Lupe (Greeley) · 7:12 AM 11 banks called. 3 took it. they want me to read them the trace numbers and then they call me back on the number they have on file for us. half of them dont have us on file so thats the end of it. one had me on hold 50 minutes and then it dropped also my ceo told me to call the fbi financial crimes line in denver so i did. the agent was actually really nice. she took my name and number and said somebody would call me back

Kim Haugen · 8:52 AM NCUA put out guidance about ten minutes ago. My paraphrase: don’t limit withdrawals unless you have to, and if you have to, tell members why and put it in writing. For the record, we went to $400 a day at open. I wrote the sign myself.

like genuinely asking. my job says they sent my paycheck thursday. my bank says it never came. the credit union my job uses says the other banks are sending it back because they “can’t verify it.” so where is it right now. like who has it. rent is due monday

matt | budgets @mattmakesbudgets · 10:52 AM Ok not a joke answer, this is literally my job. Money in a bank is basically a number in the bank’s own records. Your job’s credit union changed its number to say the money left. Your bank never changed yours because it didn’t believe the message telling it to. So the money isn’t lost exactly, it’s stuck between two banks that don’t trust each other right now. I have a whole video on this, link in bio
